dadakuku 3

Welcome to the the third volume in the dadakuku anthology series. As usual, it is jam-packed with the best of experimental short-form poetry conjured by the international avant-garde literary community, collecting a vast array of the shortest weird verses and the weirdest short verses.
This collection features 657 verses from 239 authors which were published across the year 2025 in the online version of the journal dadakuku, and includes an introduction by Jerome Berglund.
From the beginning, dadakuku combines the brevity of Japanese short-form poetry with the weirdness of dada and surrealism, pushing the creative boundaries of micropoetry, haiku, and other ultra-brief forms, carrying on the urgent spirit of dada and surrealism. In the years since, dadakuku has grown to become the largest, most active, most comprehensive, and the best contemporary repository of baffling brevity.
Against a backdrop of turmoil and tumult, this journal has continued to be a place of creative refusal—a stubborn insistence on play, strangeness, and meaning-making that doesn’t ask permission. Dadakuku continues to be an outlet for the short, the weird, the liminal, and the unruly, especially in times when the world feels increasingly hostile to ambiguity and joy. Enjoy Volume 3 as the year-long work now begins on Vol 4!
