According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the shortest poem in the world is credited to Aram Saroyan, featuring an “m” and “n” mashed together into a single ligature, so it looks like a four-legged “m.” This is my challenge to the title, as this ligature, comprised of the dichotomy of the individual (i) and equality (=) , occupies a space of a lesser width.
